Anyone here run a Crossram Intake (BBC)?
As title states, has anyone here had any experience with a crossram style intake on a BBC? I'm contemplating the move for my L88 cammed motor. currently it has a weiand team G single plane that was gasket matched. would i see any significant increase/decrease in power/driveability or a movement in the powerband?

Cross ram and vertical ram manifolds on a BBC are to flaten out the torque curve...
The chevy power service manual has a good section in it on this topic...
502 Ram Jet manifold is another incarnation of this....

Ran setup for some time, easy to tune and increased torque substantially on 460" BB, aluminum heads, and solid roller setup. Would probably see similar increase with shorter 427" stroke. Made my own linkage and used a pair of Holley 650 double-pumpers. Needless to say it was also top notch "draw" at all the shows. I had it installed in a '66 Chevelle. Extremely "crisp" throttle response, absolutely no hesitation whatsoever. Thanks, Gary in N.Y.
P.S. The unit in the picture is being built at this time and the customer may opt to use the setup also. He'll be making his decision this week.

checked out Ebay...
My bad... I thought you were referring to the Crower-McKay style cross ram injection. I'm of the opinion that a dry runner manifold with injection is the way to go.
Get a big hood if you're gonna put that bad boy on a big block vette....

The crower/mckay manifold is an individual runner manifold, not a crossram unlike the kinsler crossram developed for vettes...see the greenwoodcorvettes.com race cars for a lot of good shots of that. It's still available from kinsler new and it's what Rosen used on that "new" 69 camaro.
