After the rivets have been drilled out of the rear rotors, any magic tricks to remove the rotor besides lots of penetrating oil around the lug bolts and gentle taps with a heavy sledge hammer? The rivets are completely drilled out -even ran a tap through the holes to get any residue that might be holding stuff together - still no movement. I know they have been in place since 1979 so I'm not expecting the rotor to just pop off into my waiting hands, just would like to at least see something move. Thanks.
Ensure that the parking brake is off (the shoes grab the inside of the rotor). Then adjust the parking brake even looser through the adjustment hole in the rotor.

Tap the back-side of the rotor with a plastic dead-blow hammer (if you have one). Rotate the rotor and repeat. G/L
Adjusting the parking brake was the start of this whole adventure - part of the adjusting wheel broke off inside the drum and now I have to get the rotor off to find out what part and what I need to replace everything. Since obviously the rotor has never been off, I don't know how bad the emergency brake shoes are - waiting to get it apart to see if I have to add them to the shopping list. I'll play more with cable thought to see if I can do something with it. Guess I'll have to buy a plastic hammer - darn, I hate it when I have to buy another tool.
I tried the "gentle" taps with a sledge hammer on my 73. I then went to the not so gentle taps with a sledge hammer and got the same result. I tried spraying the heck out it with PB blaster and waiting overnight and it still did not come off. A reciprocating saw with a metal blade took it off with extra care not to damage the spindle. I made 2 angle cuts through the rotor toward the spindle (pie shape cut with the lines a couple inches apart at the spindle). Then I cut a straight line on the face of the rotor from one of the angle cuts to the other (be carefull not to damage the lug nuts). Stop cutting before you get to the spindle. You should be able to remove this pie shaped piece by putting a screw driver in the slots on the outside rim of the rotor and using leverage back and forth. I was not done at this point. I still had to soak the small sliver of the spindle that was showing with PB blaster. Then with some effort with a hammer and small crow bar I finally got it to come off.
I sure hope you find a better way from someone else on the forum because this was a pain in the A**
