Default 73 headlight switch wire

I have a 73 and the gauges are out at this time. Most of the lights didn't work and most of the fuses were blown. After changing directional switch, flashers fuses bulbs etc. just about everything is working. I had to change the headlight switch but one wire was out of the connector. See below picture. I just need to know where to hook it to.

The only thing not working is the instrument light and dimmer control.

None of my books cover this.

Any help will be appreciated.

A little ribbing from a "Dodge" lover is in order here.

I sure did figure someone here could answer my question without incident over the weekend, but alas, it didn't happen. First it took over a day just to get to post. (slow chevy people I guess )

I guess I will have to consult with my Mopar buds, take the joshing, and get some answers from them.

Oh thanks, that ould be so cool. I have been on the phone and scouring google etc, with no luck.

I have to do a brake and light inspection tomorrow, and would like the dash all assembled before I get there.

That sucking is from following the dodge and getting caught in the draft.

I must admit, however that the stingray is one of the sexiest looking autos ever built. I also really like older xke's.

Maybe it is because I had a stingray hot wheels car

Thanks, I had to put the old door vacuum switch on the new headlight switch, so while I was in there I got the general idea of how it should be hooked up.

So now I'm buttening everything back up and the 4 way flasher won't disengage. Is there some kindof secret handshake to undo the 4 ways, or did I just get a new defective one?

I had to chang the previous one because the portion where the botton screwed to was broke. Don't know if it was the original switch, but on the new one I had ti change the plug under the dash.

Everything looks identical however, is this a prop with the 4 way switch inherent with design?

BTW I guess fly by would be one way to pass a dodge, eg loading on a cargo plane

But by the time I finish just about any engine it does well, even a chebby. What is nice is parts are soooo much cheaper and more ready available.
