My Blue '72 Corvette just got a buddy! a blue '72 Camaro!
I'm excited! A matched set
In order to lower my monthly expenditures, I'm selling my current daily driver and using the Camaro. I think I got a good deal. 1800 miles on the engine rebuild (a mild engine with an Edelbrock performer intake and carb, chevy 350/350 speced camshaft, 9.5:1 pistons), worked over Turbo350 transmission with shift-kit, recent brakes, tight steering, new springs and shocks, the interior looks awesome - except for the dash pad which looks terrible and is covered up by one of those carpet dash cover things... custom reupholstered seats in valour and vinyl (very tasteful), new carpet, decent door panels... paint has a few issues, but looks pretty good from a slight distance, no rust anywhere on the body.... $4500
What do you guys think?
Anybody in the Denver area want to buy a loaded 2000 Jeep Wrangler w/ factory hardtop and softtop, cd player, alloy wheels, non-slip differential...?

Jason, congrats on the purchase,
I had a '71 Camaro (orange) for some time, they can be made to be a fun daily driver, but for god's sake first thing you should do is take out that carpet dash cover!! :U
Is it a split bumper (RS) or the normal front end?

well, the dash cover looks alot better than the dash! A new dash pad would cost around $250, according to some of my catalogs... I plan on spending that money getting the Vette on the road. Maybe a junkyard has a somewhat decent dash pad for cheap....
It's the normal front end. An RS would be nice, but it wasn't that much of a priority for me...

Try looking in JC Witney for one of those plastic dash covers. They are cheap and almost look like the regular dash.

I had a 70 that turned out to be a basket case. I sold that off and hope to get a Corvette in the next 3 or 4 years.
Here is where I learned everything about my car. It is a wealth of info and there is a great parts for sale section called Swap Meet. I sold my car in that section in 2 hours.

Congrats! I have been thinking of maybe a 68 Impala to go with my 68 vette. Something the whole family can go cruising in! I would save money because I already have the 68 GM Service manual!!! MJ

I sold my Camaro to make room in the garage for the Corvette and kept the Beretta as a work/daily driver. I should have sold the Beretta and kept my Camaro. Alas, too late now..... All the wife's fault anyhow, she did not like driving the Camaro (another reason I should have kept it).
