My 79 Corvette stumbles at highway speeds if I momentarly get off the gas then ease back into it again. It does not do it consistently and I can not "force" it to happen. I have a new 350 ci crate motor with a new Edelbrock performer carb and an air-gap manifold. I also experience a stalling-stumbling condition at extremely low speeds if I stop suddenly or make a sharp low speed turn - like pulling into a parking spot at the store. And lastly - again if I pull out of a parking lot and make a hard turn on to the street and step on it, it acts as if it is starving for fuel. And no - I am not jamming the steering all the way to the stops. Any Edelbrock guru's out there?

Reason: no responses, title too vague
Hmmmm, stepping hard on the accelerator while turning out of a parking lot. I put one of my 77's on a sidewalk in Virginia Beach one day doing that. These Vettes with limited slip differentials have a strong tendency to go sideways or spin around in a circle when turning and accelerating too vigorously. Very embarassing not to mention my luck in not hitting a sign, telephone pole, pedestrian, etc. Be careful out there! OK, lecture for today is over.
it is a fuel thing. wisdom says that floats are the first place to suspect. i'm thinking that maybe go the easyest way first and check things that might cause fuel starvation such as fuel filter.
