Default What do I need to do to ensure a good functioning E-Brake.

My TA's have already been rebuilt buy Bairs including new rotors and SS E-hardware. I need to replace the cables and was thinking of just getting the ZIP OEM kit that includes front and rear cables, clips tension spring and cable guides. Is this good or is there any reason that I should o with SS cables?

Any other advice before I start to make this job go as smooth as possible and have a positive outcome?

Thanks

I have not done this but my understanding is the best way to adjust is with jacks under the trailing arms. This keeps the suspension in its normal position. With the suspension hanging down the cables are not properly tensioned. Makes sense.

You have to force yourself to use it all the time. Most of cars sit and that is the biggest problem.

Stainless hardware & cables...OEM shoes. Gather any and all info on adjustment, and have at it. You WILL adjust it a couple of times before getting it to work properly.
Don't loose patience...

The above is TOTALLY complete and correct, as I know from experiences ten years ago, me and Tony's vette shop in Maryland learned to use the IRON shoes, with SS hardware some ten+ years ago...still on my car, I don't use the brake, but it works as well as it was designed to, which is to say....

VERY POORLY.....the 'drum' is just plainly too small to hold anything larger than a motorcycle....
