I believe there are 2 flasher units if I remember right. Thinking the one by the fuse box is for the hazard lights. Is this the one you changed? houstonvett

Did you check the bulb or change them? Sounds like a bad bulb.
Both left AND right don't work? If it's just one side, and the dash lite comes on, you've got either the front or rear out..you should be able to look and say, the rear is dark, the front should be on constant, just like the dash lite...if you ohm'd out the bulbs and ok, look for a bad ground at the dark bulb socket...ahem...ya know, fiberglass fenders and all that rot...

Thanks to everyone for their response.....
All the bulbs are working....now. Both sides...and the dash light comes on for each respective side..but no flash. I need to dig out my wiring diagram to find th other flasher.
Did find some grounding ssues in the front though. The pigtails that run from the harness to the parking lights in the grill were not connected right. Who ever pluged them in last did not get the "ground tang" into the socket...kinda bent over and missed the slot...

OK...well, if the harness ground is bad, that will cause the problem, only thing is, without a ground, you shouldn't have a lit bulb...unless there is a very light ground to the socket...enuf to light the bulb but not enuf voltage to the flasher to start it blinking...I think you're on to the culprit tho...good luck
The second plasher should be mounted to a clip on the passenger side lower dash panel. You should be able to run you hand along the lower inside edge and feel it. Same flasher as the one in the fuse panel.

Could also be the switch.
Thanks, before I read your post I got the Assembly Manual out to find the location of the second flasher, forgot there are two....
Anyway I found the problem.....there was no flasher connected to the pigtail!!!! That would do it....
Thanks again to everone for their help
