Default OPINION: Spark Plug Brand?

Which one would you choose for a '79 L48 Stock motor.

Bosch Platinum ($2.18ea)
Autolite Platinum ($2.54ea)
AC Delco Standard ($1.98ea)

Autolite -
Over the years have tried many brands but those inexpensive autolite's never let me down unlike many more expensive options for other manufacturers.

I pretty much always stuck w/AC Delco in my Vettes. I use Champions in my antique bikes, and NGK in newer ones. I have always thought Bosch were way overpriced, and though Autolite was an OEM supplier for my Indians, I can't get over the Ford connection so I avoid them.

Next door neighbor ( by trade a GM mechanic) ran a 7000 rpm 350 in a 1970 nova. Usually left the line with a foot of air under the front tires, it impressed me. Bottom line he used autolites, said they worked the best for him. Since then (20 years plus) they've never gave me a problem. Use what works for you ( copper style) and change them every 10,000 miles and you should be good. In our older cars, I would rather use a copper plug and keep fresh plugs than the high dollar plugs for 40,000 plus miles. JMHO. Ron B.

If you are carbureted, then I would stay away from platinum plugs. You would be better off with just some standard Champion or AC Delco plugs.
