Head/Header question
Has anyone used Hedman Elite Headers with Dart Pro 1 straight plug aluminum heads. Car is a '79 L-82, 4-speed, W A/C.
Called Hedman the other day and they said something about the exhaust port being raised 0.250" and the fitment may run into problems because of that.

Most, not all, but most aluminum heads I've researched have a raised exhaust port. This poses a prob for my sidemount Hookers. I'm not sure if it would cause interference for under-car exhaust or not...but I'm sure others can tell you. Edelbrock, AFR and a few others have stock exhaust ports but this may not give you the performance you're after. 427Hotrod said a CF member in the Dallas area made them work with his side exhaust but I don't have the full story on it. Maybe he can chime in and let us know.
