Muncie problem
Thinking of buying a Muncie M20 from a local who said "sometimes it is hard to get it to downshift to 3rd gear... have to put it in 2nd then back to 3rd". I assume it is the syncros, but could it jsut be his linkage? Thanks.

If the car shifts from 2nd to 3rd and then 3rd to 4rth allright then you know the linkage isn't a problem. With the car going down the road in fourth gear depress the clutch and rev the motor a little and see if you can downshift into 3rd easier. If you can you will need new syncros, houstonvett
