How to get the alternator fan off?
OK, is there an easy way to get the alternator fan off? Is the nut left hand thread?
Its 102 degrees here in NY and its really getting me pissed now!!

Nick;
If you don't have access to an impact wrench, as I don't, this will also work: Put the correct size allen wrench in a vise with the short end protruding vertically from the vise jaws and place the alternator shaft down onto the allen wrench. Alternator will now be face down on the vise/allen wrench. Then use the correct size end wrench on the alternor shaft nut and, with some serious tugging, it will loosen. Also, it doesn't hurt to put a little penetrant on the nut and shaft, if it hasn't been apart in a while, before you start workin gon it.
