There's a discussion about retrofitting older sbc with OEM roller lifters at this thread where it's mentioned you may've written an article about the procedure. Would you please comment / link to any article.

I never wrote an article but I know what lifters to use, you need the lifters from a 60deg. V6 engine, they're shorter. This way they won't come out of the bore and push up the dogbone retainer however cam lift is limited to a little over .500 and you can't run a cam w/ a too small base circle otherwise the lifter will drop out the bore too much and create a massive oil leak. You can use a stock retainer plate and dog bones with this setup. You have to drill and tap the valley (the bulge for the cam bore) for the spider plate and epoxy or loctite in some studs. You may have to tweak the spider plate a little because the block doesn't have the pedestals so it may push down on the dog bones so that it's hard to bolt down.

The dog bones also require a little bit of grinding on them and the side wall on the cylinder bank also, this so the dog bones fit on top of the lifter bores. Some castings also require careful machining/grinding of the lifter bores faces to make them perpendicular to the lifter bores. It really isn't a hard mod to do and it'll allow you to run a nice roller cam. If you want more lift than about .51 or a small base circle cam for your stroker then look into the retrofit setups. Member lionsden has the specs of the minimum base circle, the part #s of the lifers and the max. lift figures...he usually hangs out in the C4 forum.
