Off-idle miss...
Normally my '71 small block runs great, but today it began having an off-idle miss.
By that I mean the car idles fine, but as soon as I begin to add rpm, the engine begins to stumble, just like a one or two cylinders are not firing.
As soon as I approach 1500+ rpm, it cleans out and runs perfect. At the next stop light, the same thing.
My gut is telling me it's electronic, maybe the coil? The plugs are almost brand new (500 miles/4 months), and the wires, rotor and cap are all less than 1000 miles/6 months.
I'm curious what you guys think? The carb was rebuilt two years ago, and I haven't had a single problem with it.
