A/C Controls
Can anyone on here tell me what is necessary to swap out my ugly 1975 a/c heater control with the two wheels to a more modern one? Even the ones from 82 corvettes are nice. By the way, I am totally re-doing my console so size and fitment are not issues.

You should be able to use 77 up controls with the earlier box. You will have at least 1 extra vacuum line depending on year. You need a copy of the shop manual for your car and the controls car. Compare the vacuum diagrams and connect the hoses. Cables should be OK. Obviously they mount in different locations and directions....

That should be easy. Do you have the later controls now? If not, go ahead & get them. Both systems operate the most of the vents w/ a vacuum switch. There is probably a cable on both for the temp. control.
You may not need to change anything except the contol hookups.
I have thought about changing mine to have the Vents be default (w/ no vacuum) instead of heat.
