Question on aftermarket bumpers
My Vert that I'm in the process of rebuilding from the ground-up came with nice aftermarket bumpers. The chrome is very nice, but they had a little surface rust near the mounts on the back-side. Following a careful cleaning I noticed that the rear bumpers have very slight ripples in the metal/chrome finish that look like they are from welding the mounting brackets on the backside. The metal is slightly distorted and can be seen in the chrome finish as a slight ripple.
Is this normal for aftermarket bumpers?
Are the American aftermarket bumpers of substantial better quality and free from this distortion???
