i dont know if it's an impression or not but if i dont warm my engine up at least with 5 to 10 min at idle and then about 15 minutes at max 2.500/3.000 rpm, it seems the car is not 'fluid' enough to rev it...somewhere i've read that forged pistons need a carefully warm up before take much stress...am i right?
nothing worse than running an engine at idle for that long just to warm up, much better to just drive it without getting on it. Sounds more like a carb problem than anything else.
Your pistons have nothing to do with the warm up process. Either your choke and/or thermostat are not operating properly. My guess.
BUT!...you should be able to drive it right after start-up...it may not be a top preformer, but you should be able to drive it...I assume your idle comes up (by itself) properly at start-up, if not, check the choke...
