Default Custom Headlights/Custom Front End

I have an Eckler's tilt front end which was set up for headlights in the grill area. I want to convert to HID lights. Has any one converted to HID. What vendors did you use? How much of a change to the wiring harness? I know that many of you have other hotrod/sport vehicles, I am sure someone has made this conversion. All experience/opinion welcome.

Thanks
Orville

I have'nt done it yet but it is on my list...

I'll prolly cut out some aluminum to fill the big hole and use it to monut the HID, You'll need to find someplace to mount the "ballasts" and review/modify your wiring infrastructure to support the current as required.

I'll likely replace the grills too.

Yeah, I have two sets of grills. A reproduction plastic set that I cut out for the lights for state inspection and regular driving purposes. A second set of chrome edged 73 grills for show. I am planning my HID conversion around some 97 - 02 aftermarket Suburban headlights.

When I'm done the only pieces of chrome on my car will be the shifter and ***** on the door handles... I converted to use the C2 style...
