What pump is a good one for carb, running a small block with a
750/780 CFM carb??
Can a inpump like from a 82 work with low PSI ???
I realyy don't want an external.
Holley BLUE with a regulator is fine.
Do you mean an "in-tank" electric fuel pump? If you do, I don't know if they make an in-tank electric pump for carbs. Usually for fuel injected engines needing 4? psi. The carb (on da street) will only need 7psi.

Is the holley blue quiet??
I have an electric fuel pump housing
from a 82 model vette, I was not sure if
I could use it. I'm not sure what the psi
was for on the 82 crossfire. I was hoping internal.
in tank pump will do fine, regulate it doen to 3-4psi, you have the feed and return liens, all you need is a proper regulator. The TBI pump will only yield about max 16-18psi dead head. Stock CFI is 10-13psi regulated.

my 82 runs the in tank pump and a regulator thats plumbed to return fuel as well. my thought process was if and when the pump dies id just put in a high volume mechanical pump and be done with it or use it as an excuse to pull down the tank and add a sump and electric pump back there. unfortunately im getting addicted to buying stuff on ebay and the forum and just recieved a new in the box tank pump so time will tell which way to go
MEG,
Carbs need about 4 p.s.i., throttle body injection needs about 12 p.s.i. and port EFI needs about 50 p.s.i. That's a general rule of thumb for GM vehicles. So, you could use a TBI pump to feed a carb, but make sure you use a regulator to drop it to 4-5 p.s.i. I have no experience with using an EFI pump for a carb but can't see a problem IF the pressure can be pulled down low enough.
I'm in the same dilemma, and this is the best solution I could find. I was gonna replace the stock 82 pump with an intank Walbro 255lph pump that the efi guys use as a factory upgrade. Does anyone know what the stock 82 crossfire pump flows?
