Very pleased with the color match considering I pulled the can of spray paint off the shelf at the autoparts store, and it sure didnt say "1968 corvette international blue" on the can! I wouldnt actually use it on the vette, but it's great for the intended purpose! ok... back to work... lots more to do. At least I recognize most of the parts! MJ
This is a Revell model of a 68 L-88 convertible - you know, the old fashioned plastic kind that you put together with sniffing glue. I bought it on ebay! The level of detail is incredible! The doors have the 68 - only pushbuttons (molded, they dont actually move!). The interior has the 68 - only seatbelt buckle holders next to the e-brake handle. The instruction sheet looks remarkably like the AIM !! One thing I am curious about - they included a power brake booster!! Did the L-88 come with power brakes??? I would have preferred a regular bigblock hood, but... close enough. Used Chevy orange paint on the engine block Having a little trouble with the interior right now.... I dont have a good dark blue (flat) paint that matches my vette's interior. I may just go with a black interior on the model. Will anyone notice? I will be really bummed at the next car show if someone says, "Hey, your interior is dark blue and the model's interior is black.... whatsup with that???? " MJ
Tell me your going to become one of those guys that at car shows puts a model of their car on their cars engine (usually on the air cleaner). I don't know if you saw it, but at the Madison show the guy parked next to me had a model of his car on a revolving turntable. Did that give you any ideas Mark? ;)

Yes, yes, and I guess... yes! I have been trying to decide whether to get just a regular old lazy susan or a motorized one that will slowly turn the car around..... and of course you display it on the air cleaner!!! MJ
