fuel pump question

fuel pump question
witch way are the fuel lines an a 71 big block supposed to face? both my supply and return line are facing forward towards the radiator. I bought new molded fuel lines from the chassis to the pump and they don't even come close to fitting

Sorry I can't help on this one...but a suggestion would be to look at an assembly manual... if you don't have one, then look at a Corvette America or Corvette Central catalog...one of them provides some pretty good illustrations of different assemblies. I've used these to determine how items are oriented in the past.
