Useable rpm's dropped from 1800 to 1200 with the Isky and it will still rev happily over 6000 with power to around that as well. Vacuum with the Comp was around 9 and with the Isky I get 11. You'll know the engine is 'cammed' with either one for sure.
I have the 270/280 (112LS) in my Vette. The specs @.050 are:
221/232 @ .050, .490/.517 lift (w 1.6 rockers) IVO -1.5 IVC 42.5 EVO 48 EVC 4. 2.5 degrees of overlap.
You can get the same cam in 106LS and 110LS also. It doesn't have 4 degrees advance ground in like most others.
The "seat" specs are: 270/280, IVO-23 IVC-67 EVO-72 EVC-28. 51 degrees of overlap.
I have my idle set at 900 and the vacuum is 13. My mileage in mixed driving is about 12.5mpg which is about 2mpg less than the XE262 I had before.

Went ahead and ordered the package XE 274. Now everything is matched. For $328.00 - price included the cam, lifters, matched springs, retainers, locks, timing chain/gears, lube and the new P-rods.
Next ... have an EXPERT rebuild your heads with those new parts ... remember, you have at least one valve with mushroomed tip ... heads may need guides etc ... have an EXPERT do it & you pay for what you get.

yep expert setup (just like last time). New machine shop said none of the valves were setup for the same height...going to tear it all down, another valve job, and go from there. Just hope the comp cam will survive breakin.......
Order this cam lube for cam breakin: Crane Super Moly Lube P/N 99004-1 in a tub or 99002-1 in 2 small squeeze packs ... slather it on all lobes & all lifter faces & all pushrod tips & all stamped rocker fulcrums ... it's a molybdenum disulfide grease ... I use same thing ... No probs w/cam breakin.
