Default Fuel Line Hose

Can someone tell me what the size of the flex fuel line hoses on a 69 427/390 that run

1. From the sender in tank to the frame line
2. From the return in the tank to the frame line
3. From the frame line to the fuel pump
4. From the frame line to the fuel filter return line

I need to buy new rubber, and since I am not going the NCRS route I would prefer to go to the store and buy this line in couple foot sections instead of ordering from the typical Vette parts suppliers.

Is rubber a good idea? I am looking at replacing fuel lines in my 69 and understood rubber was not the way to go.

I am only looking to replace the rubber that was stock. I am not adding rubber lines anywhere they weren't.

Most of it is 3/8 or 1/4. Can't speak for a BB but I know on a SB you must buy the molded frame-to-pump hose or it WILL kink.

you have to get the molded hose or make a huge loop (not a good idea)

Is the molded stuff flexible enough in case things arent exactly where they should be?

Do I have to use the molded stuff at the tank end? I wouldnt expect to much movement back there.

So is it 1/4 and 3/8 at the tank end, for the return and the feed, respectively?

Which way is the inlet fitting on the fuel pump supposed to point on a 427/390?

I think a lot of the factory supplied gas line hoses have extra thick walls, so just going down to the local auto parts store and buying a few feet of hose is perhaps not going to work well. These molded duplicate dimensioned gas line hoses are something of a Dr. Rebuild specialty. Also, they have the correct appearance (ribbing, color strips).

I'm not to worried about the correct appearance. Not going for NCRS. Just wanted something that wasnt too expensive but fit correctly.
