Just got my '71 B/B and it seems to need some help atop the intake manifold. It's a LS5 with oval port Edelbrock Aluminum Heads (110cc chambers) Intake runners are 290cc and exhaust runners are 110cc. It's also got an Edelbrock Air Gap manifold and a cam with .560/.573 lift on int/exh and duration @.050 of 240*/246* on int/exh.
What size and type of carburetor would be best suited for this setup. I want to make sure this thing is getting enough fuel, but I've read bigger is not always better. (Never heard that from the wife though )
800-850 cfm. You could adequately run a 1050 Dominator if you were good at tuning its shortcomings for street use. A lot depends on the compression, trans, and rear gear before you go real big.
