I gave my pride and joy to trusty vette shop for some basic work as I did not have the time to do it. Actually I just did not want to mess with installing the MSD myself.
My question is this; the have hooked the box up right to the battery. Now the car won't start if let to sit for a week or so. I NEVER had issues before. AND I think its actually harder to start? However the car is running good. Shouldn't the MSD be hooked to the ignition switch instead of draining my battery? I think they might have done this as the box is mounted one of the storage compartments out of sight, which is good.
Most of the CD ignition boxes are wired with the main power coming from the battery. I have mine hooked to the starter lug that is connected to the battery. There is another wire that should be wired to the ignition switch which is a smaller wire.
