Default rewiring question

im doing some wiring on the underhood harness of my 81 and have found a small cut wire (green). From my wiring chart it seems to show it going to the compressor cycling switch on one end, and to something called the "closed loop harness" on the other. anyone have the whereabouts/need for this closed loop harness?

that would explain why the AC ain't been workin I guess. It might be cut because the clutch is bad, ring itout with an ohm meter them apply 12 volts to the clutch to see if it engages, then run thru the rest of the ac system.

Had the same thing in my '77, a clipped wire at firewall, found out it goes to a/c switch and a/c compressor. I went to a corvette junk yard and got this. The plug goes onto the small a/c line, it is a pressure switch or something, and the other plug goes into the a/c compressor to turn clutch on, the black just grounds to a/c compressor housing.
