Window crank has a C clip that holds it on. There is a special tool for getting these off or use a bent tip screwdriver to pop the clip. For re-install just put the clip on the handle & push it back on. I don't know about the lock ****, sorry.
OK....it's probably easier than it seems, but how do you get the window crank handles off of the doors without breaking things???
Same question for lock ****????
Thanks!
door handle and window crank both have a C clip behind them....they make a special tool to get them out but it also can be done with a small screw driver to dislodge the clip.
Both are held on with a horseshoe shaped retainer. It's easiest to remove them using the special tool that slides behind the handle and pushes the clip off, otherwise you could damage the door panel. See if Auto Zone has a loaner tool or some other auto parts stores may have one you can purchase.
Go buy the tool, I took many of these handles off with a screwdriver on many a chevelle and camaro but I couldnt do it on my vette and just broke the damn things because I was mad.
Anyone have two window cranks for sale? lol No really?
Make sure when you re-install them you put the clip on facing the right direction!
There is a front and rear to the window crank and the lock **** clips.
On the window crank the clip should have the open end facing the crank ****.
On the lock **** the open end of the clip should face the front of the car.
