Power Adapter / Cig lighter
I went to plug in my in car charger for my cell phone yesterday (1st time) and it didn't work. So I pull the center console and there are no wires leading to it and 2 that are cut... Ones an orange color and ones a black. So is this the + and -- . If they are then which connects where and if they're not where do I find them. Thanks.

I'm certain orange is one of the two. I forget what the second color was. The factory wiring harness colors should be listed in the AIM. BTW, on mine both wires went into one of those black plastic slider connector clip things. There was an angled tab on the bottom of the cig lighter which it slid onto.

According to the wiring diagram, the 18 ga. orange is the power lead for the lighter and the only wire connected to the lighter. Since there are multiple 14ga black ground wires to the instrument panel and console (one on heater/AC mechanism), your loose black wire is probably one of them.

The wiring diagram shows multiple grounds to the console but not directly to the lighter. This is a common scheme. The entire instrument cluster (gauges, clock, lights, etc.) do not have direct ground wires either. I just restored my center console and there was only one wire (orange) connected to the lighter and it has power, so it must be grounded through the bezel.

Snip and elec tape and its working now... That blue thing wouldnt stay on there so it looks kinda bubba but its better than nothing and you cant see it w/o opening the console.

and when I snipped the orange I had forgot about power still being to it (even though car is off) and now I have a burn on the palm of my hand. Then when I disconnected the battery part of the lead where the screw goes through to tighten the terminal broke off dammit but its still connecting fine.
