Hi --I'm a new member restoring a 68 convertable and would like to know if anyone can tell me or show a picture of the idler pully set-up on a big block. Thanks.
When I had my 68 BB Vert, the idler pulley was long gone. I searched far and wide, and found none available, it was hard enough to find the smog stuff. I ultimately gave up. I guess I could have spent a fortune going to Carlisle, But 68's weren't worth as much then. I have the 68 AIM and can do a PM in the next day or so if you still need the diagram. Let me know.

thanks for the information. I'm trying to install the pulley and it hits the edelbrock aluminum water pump on the bottom. Don't really know if I even need it. However I wanted to have the small water pump belt and
couldn't fiqure out how to really install the belt with out the tensioner.
Other than squeezing on a belt from the water pump to the crank. Any help is welcome..thanks. Also perhaps you would know the 68 didn't have the reinforment brackets on the crossmember to the kick up in the rear. Would welding them on from a 69 strenthen the back half?
