Default Fuel Cap--Vented or Not?

Hey everybody,
Is there any performance difference in running a vented vs non vented fuel cap? Any reasons for one or the other?

Also, can anybody xplain how to insert a pic in a post?

73 Coupe.
thanks.

Cant help you on the fuel cap issue but to insert a pic you find the url link and add at the end:

(with no spaces inbetween)

and it should work if its a valid link.

You should probably have a vented gas cap if you have a non-functioning or non-existant (removed) charcoal canister, and/or if you have an electric or aftermarket fuel pump without a return line.

Yes, when you post a message, scroll down a little until you see manage attachments. Click button and new window will open allowing you to upload pic off your hard drive.

No performance difference between vented and non, it was an emissions thing.

I don't have a manage attachment option. My forum rules say I may NOT post attachments. Does this require a special privledge?

Star 79, As far as the charcoal can, did a 73 come from the factory with it?

thanks for all the help.
