no power on kick down
just replaced the fuel pump(stock) its putting out about 4psi and I replaced the carb, a new edelbrock 600..timing set at 10 btdc..the problem is when I step down on it ,it bogs down ,it sound like its starving for fuel..I didn't have this problem with the old carb..any ideas

Man...........I had the same problem. The EB carbs dump quite a bit of gas!! Do you have a pressure regulator? Also, if your motor is not in good shape, and possibly low compression, you will never get this carb to perform properly. Been there.........

That's the biggest reason I stick with stock parts. They work!! Problems always seem to arise with aftermarket things and although they are fixable problems, it sometimes isn't worth the trouble. If you're not building a race car or street rod, rebuild the old rochester.
