EGR removal

What all do I need to do to remove the EGR valve?
I know this has been done before but search didn't bring up anything
I have headers with true duals and would like to switch to a non egr carb and remove the egr altogether.
What steps do I need to do?

all i did was buy an EGR block off plate and a non EGR carb...

I made my own plate. Seems the auto parts stores won't sell the block plate. My car smoked bad and thought I had a sour engine. Ran a leak down and compression test and it was fine. I "De-Smogged" it, and the smoking stopped. Go figure......

I've already got the plate.
What do I do with all the lines?

I blocked my EGR related lines too. I had a speed shop make a block off plate and gasket. So far, so good except my timing pings when timed to spec,12 deg btdc. It runs a little leaner at cruise on up. It may be unrelated though.
