Door Lock Question?
I have a 75’ with T tops. I’m in the middle of a body off restoration / upgrade. I’m getting the body back together and want to line up the nose to put it back on. To do this I have to line up the doors first. My passenger side door lined up nicely, but my drivers side door will not lock securely. When I shut the door there is about 1/8 inch movement ( in and out) at the back end of the door. It looks like when the latch is all the way clicked into place, there is some jiggle room. The passenger side has the same latch, and the same amount of jiggle room, but the door closes properly.
I’ve taken the latch out and lubed it, and couldn’t find any kind of adjustment on it.
It also looks like the striker is in the correct position and the correct length.
When the door shuts, the latch does go to the fully closed position.
I’m at a loss.
