Rear End All Jacked Up
I bought my '68 convertible from a guy in FL that was obviously racing it. As you can see by the pictures, he has the rear end jacked up really high with oversized tires. What do I need to reset the ride height back to factory specs?

Longer rear spring bolts on the ends. Might not even need them...just back off the ones you have to see how low it can go. If not install longer bolts.

Obviously racing it? What kind of racing? Truck pulls?
A TRW spring and tractor tires doth not a "race car" make...

Go to your local Caterpillar store and get some 9/16 x 8 inch bolts and put that thing back where it belongs. Bolts are less than $4.00 each at CAT.
It looks like he replaced the spring and used the stock bolts.
Dont ask me how I know....

I would make sure it has the correct spring on it to start with. I'm going through the same stuff right now with my 78.

How do I check to see if the rear spring is original?
