Just wanted to introduce myself and say that this is one of the better forums for vettes.
My name is Charlie and I got my car on Mermorial day 2001. Its a 82 Silver Blue/Blue with Dark blue interior...almost completely stock (radio has been changed). Car has 95k miles and went thru a $10500 body resto back in 95. Since then it was only driven about 5k miles. Car needed some mechanical work that I had taken care of ....it runs great and my wife and I take it out every chance we get.
The interior need a little TLC. The rug set that was put in is faded and needsto be done again. As do the console sides. Other than that its pretty good looking.
Now to the best part...this car has only had one previous owner. My best friends father. This guy has always taken good care of this car. I should know...I was there when he brought it home from the dealership. My friend and I use to cruise in this car when I was 18...I'm now 36. This car brings back alot of memories.
I will be tackling some projects over the winter and I hope some of the questions I ask won't be to "Newbie". (or should I just say "stupid")
I'll be doing a few upgrades over the winter as well. Living in NE has it ups and downs. Yea, you have 4-5 months to work on the vette, but you have 4-5 months where you can't drive her. I guess that will make me appreciate her more come next spring.... See ya on the road.....
Welcome Charlie and you got a great year (check sig) :yesnod:
Ipswich, Mass huh? I love their Oatmeal Soudt Beer, get it all the time when I'm up that way. :seeya
Welcome to our shark pond ! Lots of experts on anything that your Vette can confront you with. We have 350 days of sunshine a year. Do you cruise or work on the car? I cruise.... until the car breaks
Welcom to the Shark Pond!! I'm pretty new too but I'm finding this place very addictive :yesnod: and spending lots of free time here reading and learning  Great source of information with really nice people  and it IS THE BEST FORUM!
Hi Charlie and welcome.
You've come to the right place.
Lots of good people here who are always willing to help with technical know-how or just good old fashioned moral support, whichever you happen to need at the time. If you plan on doing any work on the car yourself, this forum is as important as your tools and technical books. Many here have already done whatever project you are about to undertake and will offer technical assistance and encouragement.
Welcome, enjoy, and stick around. :seeya
