My 70 has one on one side and the 186 on the other side. I have read 3 or 4 other Forum members have mismatched heads on their 70s.
Things must have gotten really messed up with the short 1970 production run.
Casting #3947041, 63.995 or 63.305 combustion chamber. 1970 had 2.02/1.60 valves, used as interchange on some models with #3927186 and 3927187 heads. Casting symbol, slanted triangle.
Source = Corvettes by the numbers
I plan on fixing this as soon as I find a reasonably priced 186 head.

I have a set of 041 heads that I just had new guides, seals and valve seats done on them. They're 194 intake. Not sure yet if I'm going to use them or buy a new set of Vortecs. Can't make up my mind.
