I assume this is for your vacuum advance? If it's a stock carb you can plug in at the bottom of the carb, back side, lower right - just off to the passener side (right) of the power brake booster vacuum line which is the silver pipe going into the bottom of the carb dead center at the back. Of course I am assuming you have power brakes. Anyway, There should be a hose connection right there. Good Luck!

Are you wanting to use a ported or un-ported vacuum source?

On my 76, there is a nipple that comes up out of the manifold directly in front of the distributor. There are two outlets on this nipple - 1 for the transmission vacuum and another for the headlights. I usuallly pull the plug for the headlights and check for manifold vacuum there. This is a Edelbrock manifold but the factory manifold was the same.

yes it's for Vacuum advance. the mechanic that originaly set up my rebuilt engine did not hook up the vacuum advance and i did not know enough about it at the time to question him why. down loaded Lars paper on timing and am going to give it a try. sorry, no power brakes. big port in the back center of carb feeds my head lights.

thanks.....

There should still be a port to the right of where your head lights are plugged in, passenger side of the QJet at the bottom that is direct manifold vacuum...unless it was bubba'ed and plugged...
