Default Coming back to the fold

Hi everyone,

This is my first post and I will most likely be asking lots of questions in the future, so I want to introduce myself. Growing up, I was always an avid Corvette fan, knew pretty much everythng there was to know about the marque and it's history. My first was a '75 I bought when I was 19 (I'm 46 now) and a few years later I bought a nice '67 convertible. Long story short, about 16-17 years ago I had to sell the Vettes and gradually slipped away from what was going on.

Well, now I have the time and money to get back into the game, but man have things changed! I haven't purchased a project car yet, but am looking at some early to mid '70s Vettes. I don't know if I'll do a restoration or use some modern parts to dress it up some, just depends on what the condition and originality of what I find.

I guess my first question for the forum is this; can you recommend any books or other sources so I can learn more about the newer generation smallblocks and what engine/trans combos will fit in older Vettes?

Thanks to all and I look forward to participating in the forum.
