Exhaust Smoke Colors

Exhaust Smoke Colors
Can some body tell me if the exhaust is black and sooty is it to rich and if it burns your eyes ? What should be the color of the exhaust smoke? I know I used to know this but age has really killed the memory.

Dark smoke for gas, blue for oil, and white smoke for coolant. Yes, if you are getting black smoke, you are running rich. If everything is correct you shouldn't have any smoke at all except for water vapor when first running which is the condensation in the motor burning off.

Gents,
In the mornings, I see cold air exhaust for 5 mins or so, but it lasts longer on the right side than the left. Any concerns here? I also see what appears to be a blast of carbon dust on WOT. Any concerns or remedies?
