trans. conversion
Do not many people convert from manual to auto.? I painted my 75 on Saturday and I would like to do this next if I can find anybody in my area to swap with,so my wife can drive it too.

Most like to swap it the other way around and go auto to manual. Im sure you might find someone on the forums that is interested in trading you auto parts for manual ones. I think its easier to go from manual to auto also so thats an advantage you have.

It shouldn't be that difficult and you probably could find someone to buy your stick. I just converted my auto to a manual and have a TH350 transmission and torque that was running just fine when I pulled it. I also have the auto shifter, new shift cable, vacuum line from tranny to the carb and the kick down linkage for it. Also have a new external cooler for it. Should be everything you need, except the flex plate to the engine, to make the change. If you are interested let me know. The rear transmission crossmember on yours is welded in place and the auto were bolted in. Your cross member can be modified to be removable.
