I have installed Dynomax headers with Edel RPM heads. Edel recommends Fel Pro #1404 gaskets. When I fired it up as it
was running smoke began coming out from the header flange
from the exhaust holes in the heads. The header screws supplied in the Dynomax kit are about a inch long (thread section) Do I need a thicker gasket or longer bolts? Asvice appreciated.
Did you mean shorter bolts? I personally always go with the copper gaskets and they seal real well, but I'd be sure first that you don't have any interference problems anywhere keeping you from getting a good seal (ie header touching the motor mount etc.) God bless, Sensei
