Trans noise, how bad?
My 77 has started makin a new noise, and I am wondering what I am in for.
If I nail it in first, sometimes second, it makes a grinding noise. Sort of sounds like I am dragging an exhaust pipe across the pavement. I had the fluid changed to synthetic when the car was inspected but it made no difference. Is this a clutch issue or the trans? It is a wide ratio 4 speed.
