Default EGR system ?
Anyone know what an EGR Bleed valve does? this is on my 81. It is connected to the Vacume supply line for the EGR on one side and the back of the Carb at the top on the other side. Its controlled by the ECM but I can't find any reference to it in the Shop Manual other than a test, no description of what it does or why.

The ECM uses this valve to control how much vacuum is applied to the EGR valve, which controls when and how much it opens.
