Default jacking question

i an jacking up my car for the first time and am unsure of some good points to jack on. it would be alot easier if my frame wernt rusted out in the normal jacking spots. its a 80 and im wondering if its ok to jack on the very front of the car on the metal bottoming out...thing. then i can place the jackstands on the front a arms. any other suggestions welcome too thanks a bunch!

I've seen several comments on this subject, but I lift mine in the front under the engine on the support. Put a wooden block between the jack and the car to distribute the weight a little. I put the jackstands on the"A" frame, that's the natural weight carrying area of the car. I also jack the car up in the rear by putting a jack right in the center of the rear spring, also the natural weight bearing part of the car and put the jackstands forward of the rear wheels. I do not believe in jacking a car one wheel at a time because it puts the most twisting stress on the frame.
