My 69' 4-Sp. Muncie needs to be rebuilt. Anyone know of a good shop I can send it to.I checked with S&K seemed a bit pricey.

Keep in mind price is dependant on condition. Labor goes by area. Here I get $450 labor + parts in your area maybe less/more?

It seems not to be too bad. No noises shifts descent sometomes jumps out of first gear under hard accelleration.
How long a turn around if I send it to you.?
What do you think GTR1999?

Do you happen to have a paper on linkage adjustment? I have a similar issue with 4th gear popping out.
If not, is there a good source with adequate pictures describing the process?

Try this site in Whitney Texas.
www.kajunjon.com
He makes all the swap meets around North Texas each year with a setup. He can rebuild yours, sell you a rebuilt one, or sell you the parts to rebuild your own.

Only one I know of first hand is right outside of Laffeyette, called "Cajun Transmissions". They do all our tranny rebuilds.
Let me know if you want the number and address.
