Default heater hose size question

i want to replace the heater hoses on my 78 and the
car has AC. i did a search of the forum and found nothing
that would help.

can someone tell me what size and length are required
for this job. i want to route them the way it came from the
factory. im guessing 8ft for each side but i dont want to come
up short
also is it 3/4 and 5/8 or all the same size hose. it looks all the same
but you have to remember my car came from a bubba and i have
no doubt that its wrong.

i went to the advance auto and they werent 100% sure(<--- no help)

thanks in advance

On my 77 I used around 5ft. of each but yours may be differant but I would think 8 ft would be overkill

Actually if You want to do it the way the factory did it You will
have to get the original type hoses with 90 degree molded ends that
go to the heater core. Available at the Corvette parts places. Would
also remember to treat the pipes that come from heater core very
gently or You will have the pleasure of replacing it too.

Usually the return line to the water pump is 3/4 and the feed line from the intake manifold is 5/8.

Been there, done that. Be very gentle. It doesn't take much of a tug to break the factory solder.
