I have replaced every freakin component in my PS setup, and it still leaks! This is driving me NUTSO.
Can you somehow convert this ****-poor system to a more technologically advanced system? If so,
HOW and WHAT does it consist of? Please don't tell me that I am forever stuck with this leaking-sometimes-to-dry set-up.
Thanks everybody, and email me directly if you can.

Re: 79 P/S CONVERSION - is it possible to upgrade? (Stephanie's Bad 79)
Stephanie,
There is a company that is working on a new power rack and pinion setup for C-3s. The company is called Steeroids and they are located in Santo Texas. One of our forum members (Burners) is working with them to get a kit out "real soon now." The kit is supposed to be ready any day now, and several forum members are waiting on it.
In my opinion the kit is a little pricey at just under $1000.00. Their website is Steeroids C-3 Steering Kit
The kit is supposed to be a simple bolt on with no cutting or welding necessary to install.

I saw a rack in a Chevy Berreta that had the center part that moves. This looked like it could be fitted into a C3 with a fabbed crossmember. Might even have enough space to get a steering quickener in there. I'm going to find out this winter.

Thanks, AC - very funny! I couldn't turn this thing with manual steering.
Smokehouse - thanks for the company that is making the conversion - I agree, $1000 is a bit stiff.
I'll wait until the other members install and see what they think about it. Until then, I must Simple Green my driveway, I guess.
