The engine has 109k on it. Original carb. It started as a rought idle at a stop light, then progressively got worse to the point of stalling. I brought it home and looked it over. No vacume hoses loose, no hissing sounds, PVC and EGR check ok. Is it time for a rebuild or new carb? I guess if I have to drive it, I will be forced to put it in neutral at a stop light or sign. Any help will be appreciated. I can get a rebuilt carb for wholesale.
DON'T put a parts store rebuilt on your car! They are junk and almost never run correctly on your car. What you'll end up with is a carb that isn't setup to run on any specific car worth a darn.
If you can stand the down time send your carb to Lars and get him to rebuild it and set it up for you. When you get it back it should perform like a new one.

Steve,
I suspect my carb is one of them parts store rebuilts... Do you think Lars could set it up/rejet it for my car? Or better dump it and get a new Edelbrock, or something like that? (Note: $$$ is a BIG issue for me now!)
