RPMs Drop
the other day i had to put in a new ignition coil im my 78. when i got it running again i noticed my timing was off so i went round and round with that and i got that taken care of. adjusted my edelbrock 1406 idle mixture screws out to 2 1/2 turns. but know when its idling the rpms seem to take a dip every couple of seconds. not much. about 50 to 100 rpms, but it is bothering me. i know it is hard to diagnose without actually hearing it, but i dont want to damage anything in my engine
any help would be great

...could be a number of things, but with the "up and down" idle as you describe, I'd start checking for a sticking float or a vacuum leak....
......also, timing could be retarded and you're using idle rpms to try to compensate...
