Default Getting ready to strip paint

I am about ready to start stripping the paint from my 1975 vet. Any and all suggestions on how best to remove all emblems, chrome, etc would be appreciated. In particular, how to you get to the back of the Sting Ray logo on the side behind the front wheels. I assume there are nuts that have to be removed to get the name plate off. Gas door and front emblems should not be a real problem. How far do I tear down the t-tops for them to be repainted? I need to replace the passenger door with another one. This one has too many rusted out places to mount new weatherstripping. Again, any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

It's all pretty simple. Just remember to put the nuts back on the emblems before you store them away.

I stripped mine with Kleen Strip stripper. It worked better than Spray Strip mostly because mine had so manycoats of paint. The Spra Strip worked well around the jamps where there were fewer coats.

Default Side emblems

How do you access the side Stingray emblems? I assume there are nuts on the back, but how do you get to them?

Buy the longest chemical resistant gloves you can find Good safety googles are a must. Stripper will cause serious chemical burns on exposed skin. I havebeen removing the paint off mine this way for the last week, and it is going very well (all six layers of it).

I'd get a respirator from HD or Lowes to keep out some of the fumes.
