Default How do you "up load" pics to the forum for posting?

I have posted pics before that were already on my own webpage. I just type the url between the img/img. But now, the system adds the http:\\corvettefourm\www.dewitts....... into the address. What am I doing wrong? I see others have up loaded pics directly into the forum website, how do you do this?

Tom,

I just wanted to say that I recently recieved ome parts that were appearantly drop shipped from you. I ordered a rear storage compartment assembly via the Corvetteforum Restoration Store (ZIP), that came from you. I must say that your company does a top notch job. Everything was perfect, inlcuding the fasteners, which in all honesty, I was't expecting to be included.

I just wanted to mention that it's nice, and appreciated when you get a nice product, especialy in the day when customer service is a thing of the past.

As for the image question, just insert the actual URL of the image between the [IMG][/IMG] tags/

Thanks for your support of the Corvette Hobby!

get into the system and chose "my home page" and click edit. Click "body" on left of screen. scrloll down until you see "available files" and click. on the top right there should be an "upload" clickable. that's it. copy link location into your post and presto!

Thanks for the compliment.
As far as the pics go, I have done just what you said but for some reason my address is modified to include the forum address too. Here's a test [img]www.dewitts.com\images\griffin\6570afbax .gif[/img]

the address of your pictures should be like mine, which is:

Tom

You are trying to enter a "url" with "img" tags.

http://www.dewitts.com/images/griffin/6570afbax.gif

It did the same thing to me. I just delated "forum.corvetteforum"

Hope this helps

Terry

here is another radiator.... straight off the dewitt website.

I'm just typing: {img}http://www.dewitts.com/images/product_940.jpg{/img}

but of course i am using the straight style brackets to surround the img. MJ
